We received an exciting package today from a school in Victoria, Canada announcing that they are helping us with our Crayons 'n Care program. As a reminder, this program asks children from around the country (and apparently the world!) to write cards and draw pictures for our patients in partner hospitals. We then include the drawings/cards in our Comfort Bags program with a note regarding our desire to emphasize the importance of philanthropy in young children.
We couldn't be more excited about this apparent international expansion and look forward to the delivery of all 350 promised cards.
We love going through all the cards we receive and seeing how much kids truly care for each other and want to see kid patients get better, get out of the hospital and get outside playing again. Very powerful stuff.
