That's right - but this time it's not about us expanding our hospital partnerships again, but rather, our real family is expanding.  As many of you know, the co-founders of your favorite charity will be welcoming a new little Hinton into the world at the end of Feb 2010.  I can't tell you how excited we are and we thank you all for your continued support.

And while we're optimistic that this child will never need the services we provide, we know that there are many children out there that will.  And that's why we will continue to make a difference in the lives of children in need and continue to expand our reach to new hospitals in new states. 

Stay tuned for exciting news about Brady's Smile and upcoming events we have planned for the remainder of this year and beginning of next year. 

How big of a success?  We're not sure yet and are still counting up the donations and expenses, but based on what we saw that night, we think everyone did an AMAZING job.  Over 260 folks showed up and our grand prize went for $1,000 - very exciting for our little charity.  Thanks to everyone who helped make the night a huge huge huge Halloween success!  Stay tuned for more details.....

I'm happy to tell everyone out there in Brady's Smile Land that we are featured in the 'Power of Parents' section of the November issue of Parent's Magazine.  We couldn't be more excited about our first national publication and want to thank all of our supporters for continuing to make our little charity a success.  We hope you are as excited about this news as we are!

Brady's Smile just finished our first year of children's program delivery. Turn your speakers on!  We created this video to celebrate the impact our volunteers and supporters have had on the lives of children in need. Enjoy.

We are happy to announce that our Color The Night fundraiser is back!  It was one year ago in October that we had our first Color The Night event in Clearfield, PA and raised great money for a great cause!

Not only are we back for a 2nd time but we are bigger than ever.  We've chosen Halloween night to celebrate and raise money for children in the ICU.  Similar to last year, admission includes unlimited food, drink and dancing and we have many other ways to get involved including silent auctions and prize giveaways.

.....but 10 or 11 is right around the corner.  That's right - we've now officially added a NJ hospital to our partnerships as well as another NY-based hospital, bringing our total partnerships we've established in our first year to a whopping 8 hospitals!  We are also having discussions in the next 2-3 weeks with 2 additional hospitals (our first MA-based hospital and our 3rd one in CT) and working out the final details on a partnership in Long Island.

As you can imagine, this requires a substantial amount of work on the part of Annie and I and our continued growth is pushing us to create formal volunteer positions at the charity that will help us not only meet current partnership obligations but also expand and help impact the lives of more children in the ICU and their families.  We'll be announcing these roles shortly and most likely testing these positions in 1-2 key markets before spreading it out across all of our hospitals.  This is exciting for Annie and I - I'm not sure we could have imagined that we would have this need so early on in our charity's existence but what a fantastic problem to have!
